Primera Aparición: Detective Comics #27. 1939

Descripción: Después de ver a sus padres asesinados en su infancia, el millonario Bruce Wayne decide combatir el crimen vestido de murciélado, para inspirar miedo en el corazón de los criminales.

¿Qué debo saber antes de empezar?

- Una de las cosas positivas que tienen los superhéroes grandes y sus series es que, normalmente, una vez terminado un arco argumentativo siempre vuelve a un cierto Status Quo. Esto permite NO leer toda esta lista. Yo, personalmente, empecé en el número 15 de esta lista (obviamente habiendo leído Year One). Si no quieres leer tanto (o leer historias más modernas) recomiendo empezar en el número 16 (Hush).

- Todo el mundo conoce la historia de Batman, y esta lista recoge todo lo importante. Lo único que no aparece es la "graduación" de Dick Grayson, quien después de ser Robin por años, decide separarse del alero de Bruce y convertirse en Nightwing.

- Esta Lista NO CONTIENE TODO lo de Batman. Sólo recoge la cronología importante. Hay series como Gotham Knights o Superman/Batman, que si bien son muy divertidas, no son importantes en la cronología. Casi todas las series que dejé fuera se pueden leer por si solas o no pertenecen a la continuidad oficial.

- Como se podrán fijas, Batman muchas veces tiene 4 o 5 comics mensuales. Si bien son 2 los más importantes (Batman y Detective Comics), es Batman el que siempre manda los eventos importantes. Detective Comics normalmente tiene historias auto-conclusivas y más de calle (menos cósmicas).

- Esta Lista no contiene las series de la Bati-familia (Nightwing, Robin/Red Robin, Catwoman, Batwoman, Gotham Sirens, etc) SALVO QUE ESTEN INCLUÍDAS EN UN CROSSOVER importante.
